Information Governance Starter Packs

Governance is NOT Easy

Information governance is a very broad, sometimes intimidating, topic.  Our clients often ask questions such as:

•   Governance – there’s so much to do.  Where do I start?

•   How do I justify/quantify the benefits of data governance?

•   How do I enforce accountability and responsibility for data governance?

To address these questions and help customers to understand where to begin, Alpine has created the Information Governance Starter Packs (along with our Information Governance Readiness Assessment) to provide a simple but effective path to data governance.

About the Starter Pack

For Alpine’s clients, a typical first step in information governance is to establish an enterprise “data dictionary”.  Many mid-sized to large organizations are highly departmentalized. Across the organization a variety of terms are typically used to describe the same element of information. (For example, the finance department may recognize a customer as “AR_MASTER_ACCT”, while that same customer is recognized in the marketing department as “T1_ACCT_Name”).

Alpine’s Information Governance Starter Pack consists of sufficient software, professional services, and training to install and configure a leading data dictionary application – and to train key users and data stewards on data governance and data quality best practices and ongoing maintenance of the data dictionary.
