The Douglas Stewart Company Case Study
Challenges – The Douglas Stewart Company had experienced several challenges on their old ecommerce platform. The competition, CDW, Staples and Navarre were all including robust product information and easy navigation and search capabilities. DSC was failing in those categories along with experiencing YoY declines in online revenue, traffic and conversions.
Strategy – Develop a scalable ecommerce experience utilizing Magento Enterprise that put marketing/promotions, content and product control back in the hands of non-technical users at DSC.
Implementation – Alpine created a new powerful ecommerce website for DSC that allowed marketing to administer most changes to products, promotions and merchandising. In addition, we handled real-time integration with their ERP (Infor SX.e), ability to filter product listings based on display inventory/out of stock, multiple warehouses and several customizations to Solr Search.
