Earlier this month Magento held its annual partner summit in LA to kick off 2019. This event was attended by Magento’s global solution integrators and technology and industry partners. With over 1,500 in attendance this marks one of the largest events that Magento hosts each year.
In Q4 of 2018, Magento and Alpine worked collaboratively on one of the biggest and most complex opportunities of 2018. Alpine was given the special honor and privilege of presenting this opportunity alongside Magento at the 2019 partner summit.
The opportunity was with one of the largest non-for-profit professional membership associations for the project management profession. The firm specializes in project, program and portfolio management. Having a global presence, the organization sells certifications, memberships, physical books and eLearning courses to help the progression of professionals within the project management space.
At the core, the goals for the organization were to utilize Magento Cloud to introduce new products and services. Far beyond just using the product the organization was focused on their customers and significantly improving the overall digital purchasing experience. This included unifying the varied commerce engines to one integrated platform while providing a 360-degree view of the customer experience.
What was unique to this organization was the way in which they chose to deploy Magento alongside the firm’s other internal software – namely Sitecore CMS. This was to be a headless Magento implementation with heavy personalization. The organization relied on Magento and Alpine to architect a solution for content management and a segmentation engine with seamless integration between Magento and Sitecore. The solution offers robust customer profile management along with vastly improved global support and extensibility.
