ZeroEyes: Former Navy SEALs on a Mission to Stop Mass Shootings
June 11th, 2019 by Earl Stevens
Unfortunately, we see far too many headlines reporting firearms-related violence and mass shootings at our schools, workplaces, entertainment venues and houses of worship.
Our politicians have been debating solutions for decades, yet the frequency and severity of mass shootings continues to increase. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum or gun debate, it’s pretty clear that the politicians aren’t going to solve the problem anytime soon.
Now, I’m not blaming the politicians for this problem – gun violence and mass shootings are a complicated threat – one that’s nearly possible to predict or profile. Nobody seems to have any practical or realistic answers.
So what do you do when you have a perplexing, difficult, and dangerous problem? Call the SEALs!
The ZeroEyes team consists of six former Navy SEALs and a number of elite technologists. They’ve spent the past couple of years developing technology that uses existing surveillance cameras to identify weapons and quickly distribute alerts and intelligence to those responsible and trained to deal with active shooter threats.
Their hard work is starting to get noticed, and I’d like to share some of the recent and well-deserved coverage they’ve received:
